Folk rock pioneers Steeleye Span return to Northampton’s Royal & Derngate on Sunday.
With a career taking in six decades, the band is not just a legendary name in British music but also a link to the classic days of rock and folk music.
Singer Maddy Prior leads a line up which includes Rick Kemp, Liam Genockey, Julian Littman and Peter Zorn and Jessie May Smart – who has joined the ranks following the departure of fiddle-player and long-standing member Peter Knight.
Last year the band released a deluxe version of their album Wintersmith in collaboration with Sir Terry Pratchett.
Wintersmith was a key development in the Steeleye Span story and saw the band explore a new chapter both on record and Live.
This year, they have been busy playing across the world and have recently returned from a tour in Holland and Belgium.
Steeleye Span play the Derngate on Sunday, November 29.
Doors open at 7.30pm and tickets cost £22.50 before fees.
