A Northampton magician wowed crowds at a recent gig and online by pulling off a card trick involving a prank call.

Sean Heydon got a member of the audience at the Funhouse Comedy Club in Nottingham to pick a card from the deck and keep it secret.

The audience then chose random numbers to create a phone number, which Sean called live on stage.

The recipient was initially convinced his friend 'Pete' was behind the call but realised it was real when he went on FaceTime.

Sean then asked the guy on the phone to pick a random card, which amazingly was the same one the audience member chose, to rapturous applause.

"It's a brand new trick, I just thought it would be something to try to do and it's gone down really well," he explained to the Chronicle & Echo.
