Violinist plays with Northampton orchestra

The concert entitled A Season of Fifths sees violinist Joo Yeon Sir joining the orchestra.

It begins with Shostakovich’s mighty Fifth Symphony, which always proves a favourite with audiences.

It’s one of the most well-known works to come out of Soviet Russia, where composers literally risked their lives every time they wrote a piece of music.

The concert starts at 7.30pm at Christchurch.
