The Northampton venue presents the pantomime extravaganza Aladdin packed with sensational special effects, a magical flying carpet ride, laugh-out-loud comedy, and an Aladdin’s cave of lavish sets and costumes.

And if you enjoyed Snow White and the Seven Dwarves at Christmas, then you’ll be in for a treat as a number of the performers will return.

David McClelland, a presenter who has worked on The Gadget Show and Rip Off Britain will be returning for this Easter pantomime, as will former Coronation Street actor Nick Cochrane and former Grange Hill star Colin Ridgewell.

But the theatre will also be giving chance to some local talent in the form of Clive Fletcher, Naomi Wilkins and Jed Marshall, who will all appear in the pantomime.

Naomi, who gave up a job in banking to pursue her dream of a full-time career in the entertainment business, earned rave reviews for her roles as lead dancer and Snow White understudy during the Christmas Panto run last year.

“I really cannot wait,” said Naomi. “I’m so excited about it, and thrilled to be working so soon again with Nick Cochrane, David McClelland and Colin Ridgewell, who are all returning to Northampton to appear in Aladdin.

“They were fantastic to work with during last year’s Christmas Panto; they were incredibly supportive and helpful, and I learned so much from them.

“I’m also proud to be working alongside two other Northampton based performers in Clive Fletcher and Jed Marshall

“Jed was in my dance team, and a local lad whose talent has been spotted and encouraged, and I’m absolutely delighted he’s earned himself a role in Aladdin playing the Genie.

“But that’s the great thing about The Deco – they really do encourage local talent, and give us the opportunities to prove ourselves, and we all really appreciate it.”
