Knights of Music play Derngate

Phillip Schofield will host Knights of Music at Royal & Derngate this weekend.

This show is a celebration of the knights of the entertainment industry who have transformed the face of music, film and theatre.

It will feature memorable songs by the likes of Elton John Lord Andrew Lloyd-Webber, Cliff Richard, Dame Shirley Bassey, Paul McCartney and The Beatles, Cameron Mackintosh, Tim Rice, Mick Jagger, Bob Geldof, Bono and Van Morrison.

Musicians on the night include Emily Jane Brooks and Liam Doyle (pictured) both from the Midlands.Schofield is no stranger to the stage having started his theatre career in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

He said: “I’m so thrilled to be hosting Knights of Music.

“It promises to be a great night of music and surprises. It’s been quite a while since I’ve appeared on stage so I’m really looking forward to a great evening.”

Knights of Music is on Saturday, April 23. Doors open at 7.30pm. Tickets cost from £26 before fees. Call 01604 624811.
