Grime DJ Sama to DJ at the Loft

The BBC Radio 1 Xtra frontman is set to showcase his skills at the nightclub in Dalkeith Place.

Rhys Alford, manager of Intense Presents, said this Sama will be the first in a line of acts who will playing in the town this year.

He said: “Kettering is in for a serious treat this year, the town deserves a scene to be proud of and that’s exactly what I’m trying to bring.

“The plan is to consistently bring through some of the hottest artists in the UK and give the town an enjoyable music culture.

“The town is definitely going to be spoilt this year. Every event that has been organised for this year will feature a major artist or DJ as we look to improve on last year.”

Logan Sama will perform an hour-long set and be joined by Intense, Simcoe and the resident DJs.

Last year, Mr Alford brought grime MCs Stormzy, P Money, D Double E, Bugzy Malone and Sneakbo to the club.

Mr Alford added: “I hope in five year’s time the town’s music scene will be something everyone is proud of, something the town can be recognised for and something that will continuously grow.”
