The show is billed as the ultimate line up for lovers of ‘60s music.

Liverpool band The Searchers, originally tipped to be as big as the Beatles, took their first single to number one and followed this with five more top five hits which spent a total of 128 weeks in the charts. Well-loved numbers include Needles and Pins and Sweets For My Sweet.

Fellow Liverpudlian stars Brian Poole & The Tremeloes also feature and are famous for having 21 hits that spent more than 220 weeks in the UK charts.

Also on the bill is the controversial and ponytailed P J Proby, whose trouser-splitting shocked the nation, was a Melody Maker teen idol award winner in 1964 and spent 91 weeks in the charts.

They will be joined by Wayne Fontana, originally from Manchester, who spent more than 75 weeks in the British charts with hits such as Game Of Love, Um Um Um Um Um and Pamela Pamela.

Completing the line-up are special guests direct from America, Gary Puckett & Union Gap, who enjoyed a UK number one with their first single.
