Pupils from across the Senior School have been cast in a variety of roles, including well-known characters such as Fagin, Nancy and the Artful Dodger.

Keith Hargreaves, director of Oliver!, said of the production: “Staging a family favourite is a tricky thing as everyone knows the songs and story.

“We wanted to remain faithful to Lionel Bart’s original and bring a youthful energy to the staging that would delight both the die-hard fans and any new theatregoers - young or old. I think we’ve done that with some stunning dancing and brilliant acting from the entire cast. Not to mention the singing... amazing. Do come along. It promises to be wonderful.”
