JLB are the new leaders at the summit as they went two points clear of long-time pacesetters Delapre Old Boys, on the back of an 8-2 mauling of Thorplands Club 81.
The in-form Ben Gerner led the way with a super hat-trick and Dan Jennings, Thomas Leatherland, Dan Hawks, Ross Marriott and Colin Mowbray all netted one apiece.
Thorplands’ scorers were Aaron Childs and Marc Dowling. Liberty Stars were held to a 1-1 draw by Shelley Road and moved up to third.
Craig Naisiri hit the target for Stars and Aston Pink did likewise for Shelley.
Sporting Bat & Wickets continued their recent improvement and made it three wins on the trot with a comfortable 4-0 victory over James King Blisworth A. Jamie Hall grabbed a brace to go with strikes from Aaron Linnell and William Robins.
In the NFA Lower Junior Cup fourth round, Delapre Old Boys made the journey to Spratton and lost 4-3 after a disappointing performance.
It looked like business as usual as Delapre raced into a 3-1 lead courtesy of strikes from Chris Kirby and James Dean plus an own goal but that was as good as it got as Spratton took full advantage of some dreadful defensive mistakes and won 4-3.
Duston Dynamo played host to Ringstead Rangers Reserves and found themselves 1-0 down in the first five minutes. Duston equalised just before half-time with a Phillip Day effort. Ringstead hit two more goals to take the tie 3-1.
