In a wildly fluctuating game, Liberty Stars beat James King Blisworth A 6-3 to move up to third spot in the table.

Liberty raced into a 3-0 lead only for Blisworth to fight back to 3-3 before Liberty ran out 6-3 winners.

Nathanael Ansu and Sheperd Nkomo both netted twice and Bright Fotso and Derrick Metu grabbed one apiece for Liberty. A Chris Fury double and a solo effort from Nat Liburd accounted for the villagers’ reply.

Sporting Bat & Wickets were too strong for Falcons United Reserves, gaining a 3-1 victory thanks to a double strike from Darren Evens and a single from Jamie Hall.

Falcons’ lone retort came via Daniel Harding.

Delapre Old Boys took full advantage of JLB’s week off, moving a point clear at the top on the back of a 6-0 drubbing of Thorplands Club 81.

Thorplands held the reigning champions to a 0-0 scoreline up to half-time, but once the first goal went in the Thorplands’ defence crumbled.

Delapre’s leading marksman Jake Hogben led the scoring with a hat-trick and was backed up with strikes from Pierre Coleman, Reece Grey and Nathan Muir.

The John Henry Sports January Ball of the Month winners are Sporting Bat & Wickets, who scored 15 goals in the month of January.

The Manager of the Month for January is Paul Jones of FC Shelley Road. They beat Falcons United Reserves 4-3 and drew with Liberty Stars 1-1, but lost in the Lower Junior Cup.
