Loan move for young Cobblers duo

Midfielder Whaler, who signed a professional deal over the summer, has made two appearances off the bench this season while 20-year-old striker Iaciofano also came on as a substitute during Town’s recent victory over Fulham U21s in the Checkatrade Trophy.

Both players have moved to AFC Mansfield for some first-team football until January 1.

“This move will very much help with the development of both players,” said Cobblers boss Keith Curle.

“They will both benefit from having the opportunity play regular first-team football against senior, experienced players.

“We will monitor their progress closely and wish them well for the loan period.”
