Northants Sunday Combination round-up: Brown and Worley end Golden Horse’s unbeaten run

Runaway leaders Golden Horse suffered their first division two defeat of the season as they were beaten 2-1 at home by Deers Leap.

Gareth Errington struck for the leaders, but goals from Danny Brown and Nick Worley ended Horse’s unbeaten run and moved Leap up to fourth.

Second-placed Roade hammered FC Jeckyll 8-1 thanks to goals from Dane Salmon, Denham Salmon, George Wingrove, Ashley Gardener, Luke Emery (2) and Jack Sears (2).

Billing United remain in third just behind Roade on goal difference following a 2-1 win over Manfield Rangers.

Dynamo are back on top of the premier division thanks to a 2-1 win at Blakesley.

Dave Conway netted for the home side but Dynamo took the points thanks to a goal from Curtis Avery and a Dean Lukeman penalty.

St Margaret’s dished out a 7-1 tonking to struggling Monks Park WMC.

Fazel Koriya, Perry Wells, Terence Dunk, Caston Geui and Ashford Campbell were all among the goals.

Andy Seaton hit a hat-trick as Windmill Warriors swept aside FC Gallery 6-0.

Barry Swallow (2) and Nathan Bobowich also netted.

AFC Dee moved to the top of division one thanks to a 1-0 victory over Devonshire Club. Andrew Smith got the crucial goal.

Spartak dropped to second as they were held to a 1-1 draw at home to FC Victoria. James Moore’s goal for Spartak was cancelled out by Thomas Murfitt.

Goals from James May, Mitch Donahue and Mark Faulkner saw Kingsthorpe Wanderers claim a 3-3 draw with FC Fotogold.

In division three, Jonny Spooner and Ryan Lee both claimed hat-tricks in Northampton Hotspur’s emphatic 8-0 win over Brafield United.

Ash Worley and Seb Brown were also on target.

James Church’s hat-trick for Royals Reserves couldn’t prevent his side from going down to a 4-3 defeat to Butcher Loco.

Loco goals came from Wesley Jarvis (2), Craig Fowkes and Ben Spick.

Zedi United made it seven wins in nine league games with a 5-1 victory over Woodford United.

Wayne Hughes, Paul Campbell, John Harris, Luke Pankewycz and Dan Martin all netted in the win. Woodford’s only goal on the day came courtesy of Junior Linnell.

Liam Baptiste and Leroy Donegal got the goals as Thorplands Club 81 Reserves edged out Hartwell Forest 2-1. Michael Winch replied for the visitors.

Division four leaders Billing United Reserves claimed a 2-0 win at Hartwell Forest Reserves with goals from Luke Anderson and Chris Warner.

Bradley Mosedale and Lewis Curtis both netted to earn Spartak Reserves a 2-2 draw with Welland Valley.

Vesta’s home game against AFC Thorpe was postponed.
