Northants Combination round-up: Nash nets treble as Harpole move up to fifth

Harpole moved up to fifth spot in the Duston Garage Premier Division with a thumping 4-0 win over Weldon United.

Lee Nash hit a hat-trick while Daniel Surridge was also on target for a Harpole side who still have two games in hand on their title rivals.

Alasdair Duncan netted in vain for Brixworth All Saints are they were hammered 5-1 at home to Moulton, who move up to seventh.

Earls Barton were beaten 2-0 at home by Corby Eagles, who return to the top of the table.

Milton went down 3-1 at home to Corby S&L Khalsa, while Roade dropped to sixth following a 3-1 defeat at Ringstead Rangers.

In Duston Garage Division One, Zach Pugh-Brooks got the only goal of the game as Heyford Athletic picked up three points against Corby Pegasus.

Ashley Brown and Alex Kibblewhite were on target as Weedon recorded a 2-1 win at Kettering Orchard Park.

Drayton Grange made hard work of fending off 10th-placed Medbourne before sealing a 2-1 win. Jed Brennan and Leigh Roberts got the goals for Grange.

In Duston Garage Division Two, West Haddon Albion suffered their 10th league defeat of the season as they went down 5-2 at Borough Alliance.

There was better news for Kislingbury, who picked up a point in a 1-1 draw at Finedon Volta.

Spratton also got a point after playing out a thrilling 4-4 draw with Kettering Park Rovers.

In Duston Garage Division Three, fourth-placed Falcons United picked up their 14th league win of the season 
with a 4-3 success over Yardley United.

Northampton Spartak kept up the pressure on league leaders Desborough & Rothwell United with an 8-0 thrashing of Irthlingborough Rangers.

James King Blisworth Reserves carried their league form into the Reserve Premier Division KO Cup with a 3-0 triumph over Harpole Reserves.

In the Duston Garage Reserve Premier Division, Roade Reserves were involved in a seven-goal thriller against Moulton Reserves, with the former coming out on top 4-3.

Leo McDonnell (2), Ben Carter and Kieran Wickens got the goals.

In Duston Garage Reserve Division One, Spratton were on the wrong end of a 9-0 tonking by second-placed Corby Eagles.

Drayton Grange Reserves put pressure on the Duston Garage Reserve Division Two leaders following an 8-0 win over Higham Town Reserves.

Grange netted through Daniel Hutchinson (2), Joe Pidgeon (2), Scott Baxter, Marcin Chmielewski, David Robinson and an own goal.

Heyford Athletic Reserves were beaten 4-1 by leaders Desborough & Rothwell Reserves, with goals coming from Rob Brine, John Butler, Bruno Lafond and Mark Pallett.

The Northants Combination are looking for new teams to join their league in time for next season.
