Northants Combination round-up: Business as usual for league leaders Blisworth

It was business as usual for league leaders James King Blisworth as they eased to a 4-0 win over Ringstead Rangers.

The prolific Andy Seaton led the way with a hat-trick, while Mark Faulkner netted a single.

Brixworth came up against one of the form teams in the premier division in Harpole.

Harpole continued their excellent form with a 6-3 win thanks to goals from Alex Holmes (2), Dean Mills (2), Lee Nash and Daniel Surridge.

Corby Locomotives hosted Roade and found them too strong for them losing out 4-1 to keep them rooted at the wrong end of table.

Milton had a day to forget when they played host to Earls Barton United, who are two places above them, going down 4-0.

In Duston Garage Division One, Heyford Athletic took a point following a 2-2 draw with Corby Grampian. Zach Pugh-Brooks netted twice for Heyford.

Drayton Grange, lying second in the table with games in hand, had a derby with Weedon and Grange’s good form continued as they secured a 5-0 win.

Wootton St George took three points as they edged out Kettering Orchard Park 1-0.

In Duston Garage Division Two, second-placed Spratton secured a good win, seeing off Borough Alliance 2-1.

Kislingbury and Grange Park Rangers were were also 2-1 victors.

Kisl beat Higham Town, while bottom club Rangers saw off West Haddon Albion.

In Duston Garage Division Three, Inter Corby remain rooted to the bottom of the table following a 4-2 defeat to Yardley United.

Northampton Mereway, with games in hand on teams above them, dented Northampton Falcons’ chances with a 5-2 win to lift Mereway on place up the table.

In the Duston Garage Reserve Premier Division, Harpole Reserves played host to leaders Blisworth Reserves who have lost only one game all season and a 3-0 victory made thir record ‘won 13 drawn 2 lost 1.’

Matthew Atkinson, Tom Heath and Dane Mandefield were the scorers.

Roade Reserves had home advantage against bottom markers Brixworth Reserves and took full advantage netting five with one in reply.

In Duston Garage Reserve Division One, Earls Barton Reserves and Weedon Reserves fought out a good battle with Earls Barton winning by the odd goal in 4-3.

Weedon’s goals came from Matthew Farrell (2) and Adam Smith.

Bugbrooke B kept up the pressure on the top teams in Duston Garage Reserve Division Two with a thumping 6-0 win over Corby United Reserves with John Tilley bagging five plus an own goal .

Heyford Athletic Reserves could not make home advantage count when they were outplayed by West Haddon Reserves by 8-2 lifting West Haddon up the table .

Harleigh East and Nathan Wood were on target for Heyford.
