Second consecutive clean sheet but made a far greater contribution to this one, producing one excellent save in each half, the pick coming from Carter, and did what was needed to keep the hosts at bay late on... 8

A winning return to his old club. Not always able to shut down the space as Boro switched play effectively, but generally did a decent job of forcing the hosts to cross from deep positions instead of nearer the penalty box... 7.5
Immense again. Was a calm and composed head amid the chaos and mayhem of the final stages, showing great positional sense and aerial prowess to help his skipper to fend off Boro's bombardment... 8
The linchpin of Town's defence again with another colossal display. At times it seemed his head was a magnet to the ball such was his aerial dominance. Headed, kicked and cleared virtually everything away... 9 CHRON STAR MAN
Combative again in midfield but his booking made him vulnerable to Breakspear's card-happy antics and prompted Curle to switch things up at half-time... 6.5
Mixed night for the midfielder who struggled to get into the game first-half before enjoying more influence in the second, at least prior to the red. Battled on gamely after taking a knock with Town having used up their subs... 7
Started in an advanced role before retreating in the second-half. Was dogged and persistent and plugged gaps to stop Stevenage playing through midfield when the hosts had a man advantage... 7
Stifled in attack bar one or two bright moments, mainly in the first-half, but worked his socks off and played a big part in the late defensive effort... 7
Finally one of his pinpoint crosses bore fruit as he picked out Smith perfectly for the only goal of the game. Otherwise it was a night of hard graft rather than attacking flair... 7.5
Played his part in the goal when keeping the ball alive for long enough so Adams could join the attack and deliver a cross. Early chance saved by Farman. Not much else to report... 7
Packed plenty into his 23 minutes on the pitch. Great header to win the game but, whilst his first booking was harsh, the second was naive. Still, he proved to be the match-winner and the goal should lift his confidence... 7.5
An unenviable task as effectively Town's only attacking player on the pitch following Smith's red... 6.5
On to provide fresh legs and one darting run forward was crucial in relieving the pressure... 6.5
