Four years ago this week (May 8, 2016), the Cobblers players, management and staff went on an open top bus parade to celebrate their emphatic Sky Bet League Two title winning success.
Just 24 hours after wrapping up the season with a superb 2-1 win at Portsmouth, the Cobblers squad met up at Sixfields to board two buses and head for the town centre.
The route was lined by 100s of celebrating Town supporters, and the players lapped up the adulation before turning into a mobbed Market Square, where 1,000s of fans were waiting to greet them.
There were sing-songs and smiles galore as the players and supporters revelled in the success, with manager Chris Wilder the cheerleader in chief.
Chron photographers Kirsty Edmonds and Sharon Lucey were on hand to take plenty of pictures of the day's proceedings, with Kirsty on the bus with Wilder and his team, and Sharon on the ground in the town centre with the 1,000s of gleeful supporters.
There were so many pictures taken, with many of them never published before, that we have split them up into two galleries, with part one focusing on those taken by Kirsty as the team made their way from Sixfields, to the town centre and on to the official reception at the Guildhall.
