Long Buckby boosted their survival prospects with a 3-2 win over relegation rivals Oadby Town at Station Road on Tuesday night.

The Bucks went in front with a 13th-minute Muzi Nduna-Ndlovu spot-kick but within two minutes Sam Taylor had equalised.

Things looked bleak for Buckby when Taylor put Oadby in front nine minutes into the second half.

But Nduna-Ndlovu levelled six minutes past the hour and Elliott Herbert’s 75th-minute effort gave Buckby their second win of the season.

Sileby Rangers moved out of the drop zone with a 4-1 win over Harborough Town.

A double from Aaron King, one from Simon King and an own goal secured the win.

Cogenhoe United suffered a 2-0 defeat at home to Thurnby Nirvana.

Thurnby took the lead after 24 minutes, Matt Melbourne the marksman.

The Leicestershire side sealed their victory with a penalty from Ash Day two minutes into stoppage time at the end of the match.

In division one, Spencer strengthened their position at at the top as two efforts from Ryan Lovell and one from Luke Stone secured a 12th successive win at the expense of Rothwell Corinthians, who were beaten 3-2.

Ben Lewington’s double allied with strikes from Calvin Budd, Elliott Muddiman, Adam Spalding secured a 5-0 win for ON Chenecks over Rushden & Higham.

Bugbrooke were held to a 2-2 draw at Irchester United, with Ryan Ansell and Callum Beech netting for the visitors.
