Jon Brady admits he’s ‘amazingly overwhelmed’ that Frank Sinclair continues to play for free at Brackley Town.

And the boss says the 43-year-old centre-back is ‘the best player on the park’ whenever he turns out for the Saints.

Former Chelsea and Leicester man Sinclair, who left his role as Colwyn Bay player-manager in January, initially agreed to play for Brackley to help solve a defensive crisis.

But such was his impact on the Vanarama North side, Brady was desperate to keep hold of him.

And Sinclair has continued to show his worth in recent weeks, with his manager labelling him ‘immense’ after Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to Stockport County.

“Frank just wants to be part of it,” said Brady. “He loves playing.

“I’m absolutely overwhelmed that he continues to play for free and it’s difficult to comprehend, but it just shows what he’s all about.

“Whenever he plays he’s the best player on the park. He was head and shoulders above everyone else last weekend.”
