SATURDAY COMBINATION: Harpole ease through in cup as Brixworth are beaten

Harpole had no problems against Brixworth in the Duston Garage Premier Division Cup as they went on to win by 3-1 with goals from David Barrick, Gavin Hitchcock and Daniel Surridge.

James King Blisworth and Roade could not be separated after the full time whistle, finishing 2-2 with the game going to penalties.

Blisworth went through 5-4 in the shootout.

The normal time goals for Blisworth were scored by Lee Abrams and Andy Seaton.

In the Duston Garage Division Two Cup, Nathan Reynolds netted for Daventry Drayton Grange but they lost 5-1 at Finedon Volta.

Michael Buckmaster was on target for West Haddon Albion in their 1-1 draw with Northampton Spartak.

In the Duston Garage Division Three Cup, Benjamin Drinkwater got the only goal of the game as Weedon earned a hard-fought home win against Harpole Reserves.

In the Duston Garage Division Four League Cup, Daventry Rangers recorded their second win with a 7-1 victory over Wilby to move them into contention for a top spot in the league cup table.

Goals for Daventry Rangers came from Ryann Swann (2), Nathan Butler, Alex Chaplin and Danny Alcock, plus two own goals.

Heyford Athletic Reserves recorded their second victory in the league cup with a fine home 2-0 win against Medbourne Reserves.

Liam Playford and Ali Whitehead were the men on the mark for Heyford Athletic’s second string.

In the Dustoan Garage Premier Division, Spratton enjoyed a 4-3 win at Earls Barton thanks to goals from Harry Jones, Matthew Stevens, Jon West and Phil O’Brien.

On target for Barton were Dayne Wood (2) and Kieran Starmer.

Kasy Morgan scored twice for Heyford, but it wasn’t enough as the villagers were beaten 3-2 at Corby Khalsa.
