Northampton Town boss Stuart Gray has defended young goalkeeper Chris Dunn after his error gifted Huddersfield a goal in their 3-2 win over Cobblers.
Dunn has been thrust into the first team following the sale of Mark bunn to Blackburn Rovers.
But the youngster let in a soft goal to put Huddersfield in control at 3-1, with the Cobblers unable to fight their way back into the game.
"Football is often won and lost on mistakes and we made some key mistakes," said Gray.
"A lot of people will talk about the third goal but it is difficult for a young goalkeeper.
"The keeper is always in the firing line but at the other end we missed some good chances that were equally as important to the eventual result.
"Had we taken those the mistakes at the other end would not have been quite so important."
