Cobblers forward David Moyo has joined Vanarama Conference North outfit Brackley Town on a month’s loan.
Town boss Chris Wilder has decided to allow Moyo to go out on loan to get the player some game time.
“It is a good chance for David to play some games over the festive period,” said Wilder, who has the likes of Marc Richards, Ivan Toney, Emile Sinclair and Ollie Banks to pick from for Saturday’s Sky Bet League Two home clash against Plymouth Argyle.
“Competition for places up front is tough at the moment and this gives David the chance to play some first team football and hopefully help a local club out at the same time.”
Moyo will join Cobblers team-mate Dean Snedker who is also on loan at St James Park, and will make his debut in Saturday’s home game against Leamington at St James’ Park.
Moyo has made five first-team appearances this season, and scored twice, in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy win at Portsmouth and also in the 3-2 league defeat at Cheltenham Town.
That substitute appearance at Whaddon Road on October 18 was his most recent outing for the Cobblers.
