Former Reading midfielder Lawson D’Ath has signed a contract at the Cobblers until January.
D’Ath played as a trialist in the 1-0 friendly win at Eastleigh, and with Lewis Hornby still sidelined, manager Chris Wilder has secured the player’s services on a permanent basis.
“Lawson did well and we feel he will add something to the squad,” said Wilder, for whom John-Joe O’Toole has been his only new midfield addition this summer.
“With Lewis Hornby still unfortunately injured, I felt we were a body short in midfield and Lawson will give us a good option in there.
“He did well at Eastleigh and we are pleased he will be part of the squad.”
