Danny Alfei has returned to Swansea City after his loan at the Cobblers was ended early.
The right-back played his last game in Northampton colours in the 2-1 defeat at Tranmere Rovers on December 28, in which he played the full 90 minutes.
Alfei was signed in the summer transfer window as a replacement for Leon McSweeney, who was not offered an extension of his short-term contract at Sixfields.
The Welsh under-21 made 14 appearances for Town, and did not score during that time.
The loan spells of Jordan Archer (Tottenham), Ryan Watson (Leicester City), Stewart Murdoch (Fleetwood) and Tom Newey (Oxford United) have also now formally ended.
