Cobblers squad player-by-player verdict: Who should stay and who should leave?
Cobblers boss Keith Curle has already made it clear that he intends to make major changes to his playing squad during this summer's transfer window.
A number of players are out of contract and several others are expected to leave. After a disappointing season for the Cobblers, we take a look at who should say and who should leave.
1. David Cornell
Has exceeded expectations during a steady season between the sticks, though can expect far greater competition for his place next year. Verdict: STAY
2. Luke Coddington
Hasn't had anywhere near the game-time he would have wanted since signing nearly two years ago, not playing a single minute this season. Needs to leave for the good of his career. Verdict: LEAVE
3. Shay Facey
Out of contract in the summer and it's hard to see how he gets another one given his lack of opportunities (two starts in 13). Looked a real find when he first signed but hasn't been able to maintain that standard. Verdict: LEAVE
4. Charlie Goode
An excellent acquisition on loan in January. Helped tighten up the defence, either at centre-half or full-back, and even played through the pain of a broken nose. Verdict: SIGN (if possible)
