Cobblers receive final test results before play-off opener

Cobblers will have a full squad available for Thursday's first leg of their play-off semi-final with Cheltenham Town after returning no positive results in the final round of testing.

Physio Ignacio Herrando remains the only individual to return a positive result since testing began at the start of the month but he is now back involved in training.

All players and staff members will be allowed to play their part in Thursday's game at the PTS before they're tested again ahead of the second leg on Monday.

The club said in a statement: "The final round of COVID-19 testing before Thursday's play-off semi-final first leg with Cheltenham Town took place at the PTS Academy Stadium on Tuesday.

"We are pleased to report that all Northampton Town players and staff tested negative."
