Referee Andy Davies decided to call the game off at 12.15pm, one hour and 45 minutes before the scheduled kick-off time.

It left many Cobblers supporters annoyed and the players and management shared that disappointment.

Page said: "(It's frustrating) to say the least.

"We'd prepared, done everything right, we were on the way to the ground and then we get the call confirming it's off.

"The forecast was going down to minus one overnight and looking at it, it's the right decision.

"Maybe if there had been some covers put on it, we might have got the game played, but it's not to be so we get on with it."

Stourbridge had not covered the surface.

And Page said: "You'd like to think (they would put covers on it next time), but it's not to be.

"As frustrating as it is, we have to get on with it."

The tie has now been rearranged for Tuesday, December 13.
