Cobblers chairman Kelvin Thomas is delighted with the 52 per cent surge in like-for-like sales at the same point as 2015, calculated up to the end of the discount price period which ended on Tuesday (May 31).

It means Town now have 3,260 season-ticket holders ahead of the new season, and Thomas has hailed that number as being ‘fantastic’.

“It is quite an incredible increase already and we expect the number to grow over the rest of the summer,” said Thomas.

“I think it is fair to say that we expected some level of increase, but to reach a 52 per cent increase already is just fantastic.

“It shows the trust in what the club are doing and the excitement in the community for next season.

“This demand is even more impressive because the fixtures aren’t even out yet.

“We are expecting some big games next season and therefore we think sales will increase as new players join us and the fixtures are known.

“Thank you for all the support and the positive comments”

Season tickets remain on sale from Sixfields, online and through Zebra finance.

Any existing season ticket holder still to renew their seat is encouraged to do so ahead of the June 30 deadline when season ticket holders seats will be released.
