The partnership will come into effect ahead of the 2020 season, and will see Gray-Nicholls become the club's official and exclusive kit supplier.

It means Northants will from now on be wearing Gray-Nicolls kit in the Specsavers County Championship, the Royal London One Day Cup and also the Vitality T20 Blast competitions, while the company will also support the club's junior pathway programme.

Gray-Nicholls take over from Canterbury as the Northants supplier, and they will offer up an extensive range of replica kit and equipment in what will be a revamped club shop at the County Ground.

The club and Gray-Nicolls have been working over the winter period on some new shirt designs for the three competitions, and they will be launched prior to the start of the season.

“This is a really exciting announcement for the club," said Northants marketing manager Daniel Vernon.

"To be back working with arguably the biggest cricket brand in the business is something we are incredibly proud of, and this new joint partnership is something we are looking forward to growing over the next few years."

"We are a brand with cricket at its heart; it is really exciting to be able to support not only the club with cutting edge kit for the first team but also the junior programme.

"The new shirts look fantastic and we have thoroughly enjoyed working with the club to create a collection which we hope will look great on and off the field.”

Gray-Nicolls - who have previously been Northants' kit suppliers, most recently in 2012 - is a brand with a rich history in the sport and have provided kit and equipment to the world’s best players and clubs since 1855.
