Bang on form! That was Boddington in last week’s ‘heat wave’ – with numerous catches way above the winter norm.

Sunday’s Ringer pairs saw Carl Barnfield winning with 93lb – followed by several 70s and 80s, and
only one blank among 42 anglers.

The previous day’s league event had gone to an 80lb net, with plenty of other decent catches in that match and the few ‘less cold’ days before that.

Then the frosts came back.

The pairs went to Phil and Steve Ringer (163lb join weight) on a perfect two points with Barnfield and Bas Byrd on three and Glen Maxwell and Neil Russell on seven.
