Browning Red won on the day, but W’borough’s fourth place was enough to see them increase their overall lead to win the 11 team series on 12 points. Browning Grey had 18 with Xitan on 21.

IT was a big weekend for Abington AC with more than 100 people attending come-and-try sessions organised by the club, the Angling Trust and the EA. At the same time professional netsmen transfered fish – including 5lb bream and perch to 3lb – from the bottom pond to the main lake. Police and the EA also worked to raise ‘public awareness’ of the criminal fish theft problem.
