Police release CCTV image of man who stole Poppy tin from Northampton petrol station

Police in Northampton investigating the theft of a Poppy Appeal charity box from a petrol station have released a picture of a man they would like to speak to.

A man is alleged to have used pliers to cut the chain of the appeal box while a cashier was distracted by another customer at the BP garage, Westbridge, Northampton, at around 2.20am on Tuesday, 8 November.

Witnesses or anyone who recognises the man in the attached picture can contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 111 555.
