The father of a missing Kettering teenager has issued an emotional public appeal to find her.
Veronica Sbircea , 15, left her home in Kettering on the evening of Thursday, July 21.
There has been no confirmed sighting of her since she was seen in Ponders End, Enfield, on Wednesday, July 27, and then in Brixton in and around the KFC outlet in Brixton Road on the following day.
Today (Tuesday) her father, Anton, made an appeal for Veronica to get in touch.
He said: “Papu is asking you Veronica to come back home.
“Nobody here is angry or mad for what you did.
“Please come back and don’t be angry with your mother Elena who loves you very much with all our love.
“Your family cares and is waiting for you to come back home.”
A 19-year-old Enfield man was arrested on Tuesday, August 9, as part of the investigation into her whereabouts. He has since been released on bail pending further inquiries.
Around 20 police officers are now working on the case around the clock in a bid to find her.
Det Supt Elliot Foskett, head of crime at Northamptonshire Police, said: “We strongly believe Veronica is in the Enfield or Brixton areas of London and are appealing for people living there to contact us if you know of her whereabouts.
“We are extremely concerned for Veronica’s safety as we have had no sighting of her now for almost three weeks. We are hoping that someone out there can help us to find her.
An incident room has been set up by Northamptonshire Police and we have a team of around 20 officers both here and in London working around the clock on the case”.
Police also said that Veronica had been known to approach men and women near fast food restaurants, saying she has lost her mobile phone and asking to borrow theirs.
Det Supt Foskett added: “If anyone is approached in such a fashion by someone resembling Veronica, we would urge them to contact our incident room.”
Veronica, who also goes by the name of Rachel, is white, 5ft, with long straight black hair and brown eyes.
She was last seen wearing dark leggings and a black top, as seen in the attached CCTV image.
She is originally from the London area and attended Kingsmead School in Southbury Road, Enfield.
If anyone knows of her whereabouts, please contact Northamptonshire Police on 101.
