Two venues in Northampton are preparing to host the early rounds of the X Factor TV show tomorrow.
A team of researchers for the popular ITV talent show will be bring the ‘mobile audition tour’ to the town on Thursday, April 2.
Singers will be first be able to audition in the Market Walk shopping centre between 9am and 5.30pm. Entrants, who must be aged over 16, simply turn up on the day and enter the ‘X Factor Pod’ to perform in front of the casting team.
The team will then attend an open mic night at the Charles Bradlaugh pub in Earl Street, Northampton, from 7.30pm to 11pm. Entrants must call the pub on 473225 to book a slot and their efforts will be filmed then reviewed at a studio later.
Contestants may then get invited back for a further audition in London.
It is the first time that X Factor auditions have been held in Northampton and it is part of the show’s biggest audition tour to date.
