Daventry District Council has put together packages ranging from £500 to £10,000 to help businesses wishing to advertise their product or brand, network with customers, or secure high quality product placement opportunties.

The tour’s Grand Depart will take place on June 7 as elite cyclists from the top 15 teams in the world, as well as two British-based teams, compete in the leading professional women’s cycle race.

Councillor Alan Hills, community, culture and leisure portfolio holder on Daventry District Council, said: “The Women’s Tour is a really prestigious event and offers a fantastic opportunity for local businesses to promote themselves on the local, regional, national and even global stage.

“The event has grown in popularity year-on-year and with the final stage of the 2017 race being held in London, its profile will only rise further.

“There are a range of packages to suit all budgets, and plenty of opportunities to showcase your business through hospitality, branding on official marketing materials, and advertising at the start and finish.

“When opportunities arise, they bring benefits, so please contact the council to discuss a sponsorship package to suit your needs.”

The Women’s Tour is expected to attract 80,000 spectators to Northamptonshire, will reach a global TV audience and gain wide coverage online.

After passing through Northamptonshire, the race will visit Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Chesterfield before its finale in central London on June 11.
