Woman’s shoulder broken after being pulled to ground and robbed in Northampton

A woman’s shoulder was broken after she was pulled to the ground and robbed in an attack in Northampton.

The incident happened in Marlborough Road, St James, between midnight and 12.10am on Thursday, December 26.

The victim was walking along the road when the offender grabbed her handbag from behind and tried to wrestle it from her. They made off with a black leather-look BHS bag and a purple Debenhams purse.

No description has been given of the offender.

Police are keen to speak to two women who later helped the victim and walked her home.
