Woman racially abused by Northampton shopper in Iceland supermarket

A woman was racially abused by another customer in a Northampton supermarket.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to a racially-aggravated incident which took place at Iceland food store in Harlestone Road, Northampton, on Friday May 2.

At about 12.30pm a customer in the store was having her shopping packed for her by a member of staff. Another customer approached her and accused her of being lazy for not packing her own bags, using racist language.

The offender was white, in her mid-forties with curly brown shoulder-length hair and a heavy build. She was wearing glasses and a dark tracksuit jacket with dark trousers. She drove off in a red car.
