A woman was grabbed from behind in a ‘bear-hug’ and touched inappropriately in an underpass in Northampton.

The victim, a 29-year-old woman, was walking through the underpass between Dayrell Road and Piccadilly Close in Camp Hill, on Friday, March 27 at 11.45pm when she was grabbed by a man.

The victim managed to break free and ran off. The offender is described as a white man.

Officers are appealing for witnesses and in particular would like to speak to a woman who was in Dayrell Road around the time of the incident, walking in the opposite direction.
