A man with a “snubbed nose” grabbed a woman round the waist and attempted to kiss her during a sexual assault in Northampton.

Police today released details of the sexual assault that happened sometime between 6.35pm and 6.50pm on Wednesday, April 8.

The woman was walking along Abington Square and was about to cross the road when she felt someone grab her waist.

As she turned around, a man grabbed her head and attempted to kiss her.

The victim managed to get away and was helped by a passer-by.

The alleged attacker was a white man, aged between 22 and 25 years, 5ft 9ins, and fat with blue eyes, short blonde hair and described as having a ‘snubbed nose’.

He was wearing a light coloured t-shirt, trousers and had something tied to his waist.
