Woman attacked in Northampton after asking couple to put dog on its lead

Two parents attacked a woman in a Northampton park after she asked them to put their pet back on its lead.

The 23-year-old woman was walking her own dog in a park off Rectory Farm Road just after 4pm on Sunday, March 16 when she asked a man and woman, who were with their two children, to put their dog on a lead.

The dog then jumped up at her and she was punched by the pair knocking her to the ground.

The female attacker is described as white, 5ft 2in, aged between 35 and 40, with dark hair in a ponytail. She was large and was wearing a dark top, leggings and Wellington boots.

The man was aged between 35 and 40, about 6ft, with greying stubble. He was skinny and was wearing jeans and a dark fleece.

The dog was possibly a Staffordshire bull terrier/rotweiller cross. It had a green lead.
