Thrills, fun and dancing - as well as a few hot air balloons - saw the Northampton Town Festival please thousands of visitors over the weekend.
A huge fun fair was the main attraction and a live music stage featuring local artists drew in the crowds.
Although the balloons failed to go up on every scheduled session due to the bad weather, they could be seen over the town on Sunday afternoon.
Some complaints were made over the strictness of the bag searches by security guards and - by some local residents - about the late-night firework display on Saturday. However, the overwhelming feeling from visitors seemed to be of positivity.
Jimmy McDonald, from St James, said: “It was exactly what the town needs for families. Well done to the organisers.”
A spokeswoman for the festival said: “We’re glad that so many of you enjoyed yourselves and we are now working on bringing you an even bigger and better festival next year.”
