Weapons amnesty to be held in Northampton following shooting

An amnesty will be held tomorrow evening where members of the public can hand in weapons, with no further questions from police.

Northamptonshire Police is holding a knife and weapons amnesty event in Northampton tomorrow, following a shooting last week.

Members of the Northampton North East Policing Team will be at Thorplands shops, in Farmfield Court, from 4.30pm to 6pm tomorrow evening (Friday, November 24).

During this time anyone who would like to hand in a knife, other bladed item or weapon can do so safely and without repercussions.

Local officers will also be on hand to talk to people about any local concerns.
