"Bad times for him," the officers tweeted from the Proactive Team account at around 6pm yesterday. "En route to custody."

A Northamptonshire Police spokeswoman said 171 plants were discovered at the Whitworth Road address, which would have a street value of £85,000 by conservative estimates.

Officers also discovered between £5,000 and £8,000 worth of cocaine.

The 19-year-old man who fled was eventually arrested.

He remains in custody today.
