A Northampton pensioner has proved that he has some of the best dance moves in the town after he was filmed strutting his stuff to Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean.
The man known as ‘Dancing Joe’ performed an impromptu performance in the Market Square after the song was played by the Funkys Noodles bar.
The dance routine, almost six years to the day that the ‘King of Pop’ died, was filmed by Sally Magid, the owner of Funky Noodles, and has been viewed by dozens of people after being uploaded to YouTube.
She said: “Joe dances all the time in the Market Square as he drinks in a nearby pub. He is a real character and really nimble on his feet.
“He just makes up his own choreography and just really goes for it. It keeps people entertained.”
Sally’s partner Floyd said: “He has a little drink, he has a little dance, everyone knows him, he’s Dancing Joe”.
