A Northampton College student is part of a girl group that has impressed judges on ITV1’s X Factor.
Natalie Kassanga, aged 18, who studies musical theatre at the college, was part of a six-piece girl group whose audition was shown on Saturday night. The group, who also include, Madison Matic, aged 19, Temple Angus, aged 24, Shae Barry, aged 23, and Yasmin Crotch, aged 22, and Frank Arens, aged 17, were described as the “Spice Girls from Mars” by judge Nick Grimshaw.
The group also provoked a positive reaction from the audience and, after they danced and performed Black Eyed Peas’ Pump It, they were put through to the boot camp stage.
Cheryl Fernandez-Versini said: “You are ready made to go out there right now. I could seriously go to a concert of yours right now and I know I wouldn’t be bored.”
Simon Cowell said he thought the vocals were “okay” and said he was excited about how different they looked.
