Former Premiership footballer and I’m a Celebrity... star Jimmy Bullard will be raising money in memory of a Northamptonshire five-year-old who died from cancer.

The after dinner event will take place Park Inn Hotel in Northampton’s Silver Street on Thursday, April 9 with funds raised going to the charity Niamh’s Next Step, which was started in memory of Niamh Curry of Finedon, who died in 2012 from neuroblastoma.

The evening, which is being organised by James Wager of Sports Speakers, will kick off from 6.30pm with a drinks reception followed by a three-course meal.

Mr Wager said: “Jimmy is clearly a man who speaks for himself and is certainly not afraid of expressing a strong view.

“He has always been one of the lads and a prankster, so he’s always great to listen to.”

Paul Booth will host the evening with comedy and there will also be a live auction of memorabilia.

Ticket prices start from £60 or £550 for a table of 10. This includes a three-course meal, professional photo with Jimmy and entertainment.

There is limited availability on the VIP options at £85 each, or £800 for a table of 10. This will include a champagne reception, front of house seating and an upgrade on the photo frame.

The evening, sponsored by Aspers Casino Northampton, is expected to reveal yet more of Jimmy’s views on life in the ITV jungle series and life on and off the pitch during his career, which also took him to Peterborough, Wigan and Fulham.
