Boy band HomeTown have been confirmed as the support act for McBusted at their Alive At Delapre concert in Northampton on Friday July 17.

Managed by X-Factor judge Louis Walsh, the six-piece vocal group is made up of singers from the four corners of Ireland. Louis Walsh auditioned 2,000 young hopefuls for his latest pop endeavour and spent over two weeks mulling over his decision before settling on the final six.

Since the band auditions took place in Dublin in May 2013, the HomeTown sextet of Brendan Murray, Cian Morrin, Dayl Cronin, Dean Gibbons, Josh Grey and Ryan McLoughlin have been making waves in Ireland. Their first single Where I Belong became the fastest-selling single from a debut artist and the quickest-selling single from an Irish artist in 2014 – now they have their sights firmly set on the UK charts.

Councillor Brandon Eldred, cabinet member for community engagement, said: “We are really excited that HomeTown will be opening the show for McBusted and kicking off the Alive At Delapre weekend of concerts in style.”

Also performing at Alive At Delapre this year are Jessie J on Saturday July 18 and Alfie Boe with his orchestra on Sunday July 19.

Tickets for the Alive At Delapre concerts are available to buy from Royal & Derngate, Ticketmaster and Amazon Local. For more information follow @AliveAtDelapre on Twitter, visit or go to
