IndyCar drivers in the United States delivered their own tribute to Justin Wilson by driving Formula One cars over the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.
Mr. Wilson was fatally injured during a race on August 23 after being struck by debris from race leader Sage Karam’s crashed car.
Marco Andretti, James Hindcliffe, Josef Newgarden, Will Power and Graham Rahal paid their respects to the late British racer. Andretti led the tribute in Wilson’s Number 25 car.
Mr Wilson’s funeral was held at the St James the Great Church in Paulerspury yesterday (Thursday).
