A sneak-peak video has given the first glimpse inside a new rustic Mediterranean restaurant “complex” set to open in Wellingborough Road in Northampton.
Chilli Village, is promising diners a choice of Mediterranean, Moroccan, vegetarian and grill restaurants all within the same roof, when it is fully open.
Over the past year the venue, situated in the large former Fusion buffet building near the St Edmunds Hospital site, has generated a great deal of interest, with close to 1,500 currently following the venue’s Facebook page for updates.
Owners also plan to open a shisha lounge at the complex in the coming months.
The first of the restaurants, featuring Mediterranean cuisine, is set to open in spring, with staff currently being recruited.
Yesterday the Chron was given a sneak look around the taverna-styled premises, complete with imported oak beams and rustic paraphernalia.
Workers have been on site at the large Wellingborough Road building since November 2014, installing the beams, wooden flooring and hundreds of individually sourced antique ornaments.
A spokesperson for the new restaurant owners, told the Chron in July 2015: “All of the restaurants are going to be quite different.
“People will have the opportunity to visit each one and feel like they are in a different place each time.
“We don’t want it just to be a place where you go for a meal, it is a place to relax and enjoy and be entertained.
“People don’t often know where to go on a night out,” the spokesperson added. “But people will be spoiled for choice here.”
