Earlier yesterday a section of the A45 was closed as firefighters tackled a separate field fire near to Rushden.

Police closed the road from Wilby Way at Wellingborough to the Waitrose roundabout at Rushden while emergency services were at the scene.

The cause of both fires is not yet known.

However the spell of warm, dry weather is set to come to an end on Friday, with rain predicted in Northamptonshire.
