The road in Northampton where firefighters and medics rescued a person this morning has been fully cleared.

Two lanes of the A45 eastbound at Brackmills, just before Barnes Meadow, were earlier closed by police following a crash involving three vehicles.

Officers reported a few minutes ago the road was completely clear with traffic beginning to return to normal.

They said three cars and lorry were involved in the accident and one man was taken to hospital by ambulance with “non-serious injuries”.
